Other battle cries have marked our nation's two-hundred-year history such as "Remember the Alamo!" and "Remember the Maine!" Roosevelt called the day of the sneak attack, "a day of infamy." The national battle cry with which the United States entered World War II was "Remember Pearl Harbor!" The battleship went down in eight minutes, entombing 1,177 sailors.
